Who better to capture the beauty of the Palouse country than someone who has lived there all her life. Vicki Broeckel was born and raised on a farm in the heart of wheat country near Dusty, Washington. She married a neighbor boy, moved three miles away from her home, and forty years later still resides on their century homestead.
Between farming and raising a family, Vicki somehow found time to teach herself to paint. And for the past thirty years, she has been capturing scenes of her countryside through oils. Her style is classic with an amazing ability to include very fine detail and subtle depth to her scenes. Whether her subject is the wheatfields outside her back door, or a quiet winding back road of Whitman county, Vicki’s paintings are beautiful masterpieces.
