Sheri Trepina ‘s botanical compositions are rich in color and depth. Through use of mark making technique, she first uses leaves she has painstakedly collected and saturates them in watercolour to print marks. When removed, the marks provide inspiration and abstraction. Her finished work is a collage of rice paper, gold leaf, and watercolour. Look closely and you may see that she has even cut out a leaf and then layered onto her painted work. The result is a unique masterpiece.
