Walk On 40x50

Lila Girvin grew up in Colorado where as she put it, “the land converged with the sky in compelling ways.” Moving to Spokane the late 1950s she soon turned to painting where she could readily “respond to the vastness and solitude I find in nature.” Her abstracts are of places that can not be placed. Intangible spaces of the spirit. “Always seeking the light both within and in the image, I adventure with color and gesture, trusting the gift of the moment to guide my hand.” Her work as a result is moving, full of color and spirit.
