Nicholas and Jennifer met in New York while studying at the Art Students League. There, they refined an oil painting technique drawn from their love of the Flemish and Dutch golden age painters. From metal etchings, they create oil inspirations that reflect their love of nature and the whimsical. Jennifer’s portraits have been described by the New York Times as “straightforwardly beautiful” with “an element of the weird.” Nick’s life in rural Long Island Sound and now Montana is brought to fruition in his detailed landscapes.
