Two Sunflowers

Elise brings to her work an unique style of combining watercolor and acrylics. Each painting starts with “an adventurous pouring process which allows the ultimate freedom: the poured washes create cloaks of intensifying value and mystery.” She then often uses a pointillism style with acrylics that allows her to “retreat into my imagination and paint not the thing, but the feeling.” Now living in Spokane, Elise and her work are found in juried events across the country. She is a member of National Association of Women Artists as well an active art educator. We are thrilled to be representing her in Spokane!
