Christina Rothe, who sees herself as a traveler, a Daughter of Dreamtime, was raised from infancy in Lagos, Nigeria. Upon return to Europe, she completed her high school education and two years of undergraduate studies at the University of Hamburg, Germany. After a short career working with her father in the shipping industry, Christina allowed her passion for art to finally unfold. She studied fine arts at the Kansas City Art Institute in Missouri under Chairperson Jason Pollen and Jane Lackey and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Fiber. Personal choices eventually led her to Washington where she now resides and works as an artist. To date, she has exhibited her thread paintings, mixed media, murals, and installations in Africa, Germany, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Spokane Washington, and Coeur d'Alene Idaho.
